About Perryville, KY

Welcome to the Bluegrass – Where Horses, Wine and Whiskey Define a Way of Life.

Perryville, KY is a Civil War town steeped in history and tales of long ago.  Perryville sits at the intersection of State Rt 150 and The Scenic Byway section of Rt 68 – the ‘Rt 66′ of Kentucky.  Home of the 400 Mile Sale. Truly one of the most scenic areas of the State and one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

A little about the Scenic Byway of Rt 68 – This route takes you through Kentucky’s Bluegrass region. It follows what was first a buffalo trace, and then a 1800s Shaker road. The road follows rolling hills, and scenic pastures highlighted by miles and miles of black and white planked fences, horse barns that look like mansions, and tobacco fields. Another notable feature of the area is the limestone rock fences built by Irish stone masons in the mid 1800s.

We are in the middle of it all – just 45 minutes to the Bluegrass Horse Farm Driving Tour and just down the road from Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill.

Come visit us, do some sight seeing, some antique shopping, set a spell and just enjoy the scenery of Kentucky horses and cattle grazing in the Bluegrass fields.  We are in the middle of Kentucky’s Wine Trail and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail.  A getaway like no other – and close to home.
